Activities include; an update of the experimental database for the traditional standards; improvements in smoothing procedures for capture cross sections, a review of the status of ()Cf spontaneous fission neutron spectrum measurements; new work on the ()U thermal neutron induced fission neutron spectrum that is not a standard but is Cited by: 4. The Nuclear Data Sheets are current and are published monthly. They are devoted to compilation and evaluations of experimental and theoretical results in Nuclear Physics. The journal is mostly produced from Evaluated Nuclear Structure Data File (ENSDF), a computer file maintained by the US National Nuclear.

Nuclear data represents measured probabilities of various physical interactions involving the nuclei of atoms. It is used to understand the nature of such interactions by providing the fundamental input to many models and simulations, such as fission and fusion reactor calculations, shielding and radiation protection calculations, criticality safety, nuclear weapons, nuclear physics research, medical radiotherapy, radioisotope therapy and diagnostics, particle accelerator design . @article{osti_, title = {Nuclear data and measurements series: Ratio of the prompt-fission-neutron spectrum of plutonium to that of uranium }, author = {Sugimoto, M. and Smith, A.B. and Guenther, P.T.}, abstractNote = {The prompt-fission-neutron spectrum resulting from /sup /Pu fission induced by MeV incident neutrons is measured from to .

Cite this content as: INTERNATIONAL ATOMIC ENERGY AGENCY, Nuclear Data Standards for Nuclear Measurements, Technical Reports Series No.IAEA, Vienna (). The INDC Nuclear Standards File was published as an IAEA Technical Report No in The present report is an update of the common items with that publication.

The objective of the file is to provide concise and readily usable reference guidelines to essential nuclear standards quantities for a variety of basic and applied endeavours. The file consists of status summaries for eighteen nuclear data standards. Evaluations were also produced for the non-standard U(n,gamma) and Pu(n,f) reactions.

This effort was performed so as to include new experiments in the standards that have been established since the ENDF/B-VI standard evaluation was completed, and to improve the evaluation process. NUCLEAR DATA STANDARDS Introduction Standards are the basis for the neutron reaction cross-section libraries.

Significant improvements have been made in the standard cross-section database since the last complete evaluation of neutron cross-section standards, almost 20 years ago. It is important to re-evaluate these cross-sections taking into. Standards and Measurements.

The measurement of the neutron-rich fission products will provide data for decay heat calculations used in the Advanced Fuel Cycle (AFC) project, information on nuclei approaching the r-process for the astrophysics community and new nuclear structure information for the basic nuclear physics community.

Size: 1MB. ANL Nuclear Data and Measurement Series The Nuclear Data and Measurement Series document results of studies in the field of microscopic nuclear data. The primary objective is the dissemination of information in the comprehensive form required for nuclear technology applications.

This Series is devoted to: a) measured microscopic nuclear. on nuclear data evaluations, measurements, nuclear model calculations, validation, and related topics, and to provide a framework for co-operative activities between the participating projects.

The working party assesses nuclear data improvement needs and addresses these needs by initiating joint evaluation and/or measurement efforts.
